Tanzania Light Roast

Bright and sweet with hints of vanilla, our Kilimanjaro coffee is grown in fertile volcanic soils high on mountain slopes resulting in a refreshingly vibrant taste.

Origin

We’ve worked with the Kimuli cooperative in Tanzania since 2015.  It has over 2,000 farmer members, who own small family-run coffee farms.  Many members also grow other agricultural products, such as bananas, sweet potatoes and yams,  to increase their income and food supply.

Flavour

The coffee is bright and fruity with citrus, red fruits, vanilla, pralines, brown sugar and chocolate tones.

Light Roast

Light roasts are bright, with citrus flavours and a lighter body. These coffees are perfect brewed as filter and best served without milk.

How to brew the perfect cup of coffee

Step One

For cafetieres try 1 tablespoon (15g) of coffee per cup (250ml). Don’t use boiling water as that will burn your coffee, leave it to cool for about a minute or so after reaching max temperature. 

Step Two

Pour the water in a circular motion to ensure all the grounds are coated with water. 

Step 3

Brew for 4 minutes then plunge slowly. Let the coffee settle and enjoy.
