Fudgy Fairtrade Brownies
This recipe for fudgy Fairtrade brownies came from Leanne in our Supply Chain team. They are rich, dark and truly moreish – so be prepared to hide any leftovers (if they are any) as it’ll be hard to say no to one more! Balance out the richness of the fudgy brownies with a pot of Cafédirect Hand-Picked tea.
Ingredients – Remember to use Fairtrade products where possible!
85g (3 oz) Fairtrade dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
100g (3.5 oz) unsalted butter
125g (4.5 oz) Fairtrade caster sugar
100g (3.5 oz) Fairtrade light muscovado sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 free range whole eggs and 1 egg yolk, at room temperature beaten
100g (3.5 oz) plain flour
2 tbsp San Cristobal Drinking Chocolate
50g bar of Fairtrade milk chocolate broken into pieces
