As the UK’s first and largest 100% Fairtrade hot drinks brand, we believe that the best products start with the best farmers and we source directly from smallholder growers in the finest coffee, tea and cocoa growing regions in the world. In almost 25 years of activity, we’ve built strong relationships with our farmers, so we always receive the pick of the crop to offer our customers a range of award-winning ethical coffees, teas and hot chocolates. We reinvest at least 50% of our profits back into the cooperatives and communities of the producers we work with, to help improve their livelihoods and the quality of their crops.
The distinct quality of our drinks as well as the unique business model have placed Cafédirect among the most valued brands in the UK. We are proud to be the preferred coffee supplier for The Royal Albert Hall, one of the UK’s most treasured and iconic venues. We hold 30 Great Taste Awards won over the last 8 years, with 7 Cafédirect products receiving the Gold Star in 2014 alone.
We champion the work & passion of smallholder growers, delivering great tasting hot drinks to improve livelihoods, whilst pioneering new & better ways to do business.
A rebalanced world which celebrates business as a force for good & measures success in the shared wellbeing of the communities it touches.
Since when we became a PLC in 2004, we developed our own Gold Standard, built around 3 key principles: 1. Grower Focused in All We Do; 2. Integrated Environmental Action; 3. Inspirational & Accountable Business. These principles have evolved into the backbone of how we evaluate our impact as a business. Through a set of KPI’s and targets, we track our progress annually and share our progress publicly via our Annual Review.
