Working with Cafédirect
Through the Producer Partnership Programme (PPP), Cafédirect provides a range of support and training for Más Café members. For example, regarding quality - training workshops have been held for coffee tasters and a quality control system was put in place. This included exchange visits between Más Café and some of our other partner organisations – Huatusco, PRODECOOP and CECOCAFEN. This training led to improvements in coffee quality, and to the development of the Cafédirect Palenque organic gourmet coffee.
As well as providing training, the PPP provides support to our partner organisations in times of great difficulty, such as after Hurricane Stan struck Mexico in 2005.
