Located in the coffee-capital of Nicaragua, Matagalpa, you’ll find the coffee farmers of CECOCAFEN. Farmers here take advantage of their naturally beautiful environment and cultivate shade coffee under the canopy of native and exotic trees. These trees and the farmers’ management practices help sustain the ecosystem through biodiversity and soil & water conservation while also resulting in excellent quality coffee.
This smallholder owned co-operative has been partners with Cafédirect since 2005 and members are especially proud of Cloud Forest Coffee Beans created in partnership with neighbouring PRODECOOP. The next best thing to being in the cloud forests of Nicaragua is the taste of Cloud Forest Coffee Beans, medium roasted for a velvety smooth, deep chocolaty flavour with sweet floral acidity.
